SpaceClaim Sheet Metal Basics


The SpaceClaim  Sheet Metal Basics course is designed to get new users up and running as quickly as possible by going over the essentials for creating and modifying 3D CAD models of Sheet Metal in SpaceClaim. This course does assume that you have taken a basic course on SpaceClaim, if not then kindly go through it once.


What to Expect from this Course

By the end of this course, you will know how to:

  • Navigating through SpaceClaim interface.
  • Basic tools of sheet metal and how to create sheet metal from scratch.
  • Basic operations related to flanges and edge treatments in sheet metal.
  • Convert solid body to shell body and then convert it into sheet metal.
  • Using tools like Double wall, Hinge and Tab tool which strengthen parts and reduce the cost of manufacturing.
  • Repairing sheet metal parts for unfolding which come in as surfaces or have inconsistent thicknesses throughout the model.
